Gallatin County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It was formed in 1799. As of 2000, the population was 7,870. Its county seat is Warsaw. The county is named for Albert Gallatin a Swiss native, who became a financier, prominent American Statesman and served as Secretary of the Treasury of President Thomas Jefferson.
