Pulaski County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2005, the population was 59,200. By 2010 it is projected to become the 14th most populous county in the state with a population of 62,183. Its county seat is Somerset. The county is named for Count Kazimierz Pułaski. Most of the county is a prohibition or dry county. The exceptions are two wineries (Sinking Valley Vineyards and Cedar Creek Vineyards) that sell wine to the public, and the City of Burnside, which allows restaurants that seat over 100 patrons to serve alcoholic beverages by the drink. It is the birthplace of Ms. Rose Will Monroe, the inspiration for Rosie the Riveter.
